QUALITY ASSURANCE

We have always strived both internally for quality assurance and externally for appropriate quality recognition of the various phases of EEH training, which are in a constant process of development.

Internally, it is important to us to guarantee a certain standard of quality through mandatory ongoing training for all certified EEH specialists. This internal quality review takes place every five years via a predefined recertification process:

After obtaining the certificate in the three different EEH phases, ongoing reflection and discussion of the EEH content is a prerequisite for the continuation of the qualification. EEH specialists have the opportunity to acquire accreditation points through the corresponding EEH supervision and in-depth training courses.

External accreditation means that we are always subject to the review of corresponding quality criteria. Due to our cross-border activities, we are subject to national conditions. In the countries and regions listed, EEH is recognized via external quality assurance as follows:

In Italy, EEH training is CME (Continuing Medical Education) accredited and is therefore recognized for all healthcare professions as part of continuous professional development in medicine.

In addition, EEH has been officially implemented in all health districts of the South Tyrolean Medical Service since 2016 with the aim of expanding EEH services across the board. It is integrated into other projects and promotes interdisciplinary cooperation and networking.

In Switzerland, EEH is included as a method in the EMR (Swiss Register of Empirical Medicine) and is thus paid for in the Swiss healthcare system by affiliated insurance companies. The EEH is also certified and qualified in Switzerland by the Swiss Midwives Association e-log, as well as for continuing education credits for healthcare professionals.

In Ticino, in Italian-speaking Switzerland, the Office for the Support of Institutions and Activities for Families and Young People (UFaG) is responsible for the coordination, subsidization and supervision of family, youth and underage policies. The canton promotes parenting skills by funding projects in various areas of family and parent support. The Office has supported EEH training from the outset by making a valuable financial contribution to the participants. Further information on the activities of the UFaG can be found

In Austria, the EEH certification for outpatient family counselling is recognized by the state of Tyrol. If the outpatient family support service is commissioned by the child and youth welfare service, the costs are covered by the province of Tyrol.
