EEH CODE OF ETHICS

This serves as an orientation for our professional work and is for the protection and quality assurance of the EEH and its principles.

All those trained in the EEH field agree to this code by signing it and behave in such a way that the interests of clients and families are protected. The public can rely on the expertise of EEH specialist advisors and EEH therapists and they have a responsibility to promote the recognition of EEH.

We are personally responsible for the management of our practice and carry out EEH activities with the following points in mind:

1. the aim of our work is a dialog-oriented relationship at eye level with our clients, whom we treat with respect and support in their self-efficacy.

2 We conduct EEH activities with integrity and fairness, on the basis of scientific principles, current results and information.

3. we reflect on our work through regular supervision and orient ourselves to the current state of EEH knowledge through continuous further training. In doing so, we work within the limits of our respective competencies.

4. we identify our professional qualifications and only list professional titles and qualifications if they are legally recognized, within the recognition period.

5 We promote interdisciplinary cooperation, as well as exchange and consultation with other EEH colleagues.

6 We provide EEH services with objectivity and attentiveness to the personal needs, circumstances and views of our clients and treat them confidentially. As part of our professional relationships, we take care not to exploit and manipulate the trust and need for help of our clients for our own benefit.

7 We avoid discrimination against others with regard to origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age or nationality.

8 We avoid sexual relationships with our clients for the duration of counseling or therapy.

9 We avoid private, friendly relationships with clients or treatments with friends or family wherever possible. If this happens anyway, we at least create clear boundaries.

10. if we determine that clients are endangering themselves or others, we take precautions to avert danger.

11 We take appropriate steps if the physical, mental or emotional well-being of a child is endangered or seriously impaired by the actions or omissions of parents or third parties.

12. clients are referred to other professionals if it turns out that another form of support is more effective.

13 We obtain the client’s consent in order to be able to share considerations and information with other professionals.

14. we offer substantive information, knowing and recognizing that different opinions exist.

15 We provide information and advertising about various EEH offers in a manner that is neither false nor misleading. We design our advertising in a factual and professional manner and do not suggest any unfair healing success.

16 We take care to avoid conflicts of interest. We disclose financial or other interests with companies or organizations. In doing so, we ensure that professional decisions or statements in connection with EEH are not influenced by commercial or ideological considerations and are not made public.

17 We work responsibly and voluntarily resign from our EEH activities in the event of abuse of medication or intoxicants that impairs the exercise, in the event of legal incapacitation or if a mental illness occurs that negatively affects the ability to carry out the work or potentially harms the client.

18 In our EEH work, we comply with the applicable data protection laws. For photographs, video or audio recordings of parents and/or their children for professional purposes or use in the context of EEH lessons, we obtain the written consent of the parents.

19 In the context of EEH, we take on the task of protecting EEH qualifications by complying with the Code of Ethics. We bring suspected violations of this to the EEH Ethics Committee for processing in the prescribed manner.
